Mary-Blake's Story
The age-old expression, “East, West, Home’s Best” rings true for me as a military spouse. I’ve moved many times and know that a home is one of life’s most important places. Setting up a home in a new location always gave my family a sense of place, security and comfort despite new road names and zip codes. I’m a proud wife of a Naval Officer, mother of four, a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist and a Realtor.
For over ten years now, I’ve called Southern Maryland home. A Georgia native, I’ve grown to love the Chesapeake Bay. The beauty of the farmlands and waterways is reflected in the warm and friendly people I’ve met here. As a military family, we’ve been lucky to put down roots in St. Mary’s county. We are renovating a fixer-upper on the water where we enjoy swimming, crabbing, boating and hosting family and friends. We enjoy blending our Southern heritage with the Mid Atlantic lifestyle; we love watching SEC football while we pick crabs on a sunny Saturday afternoon!
Over the past 17 years of moving with the military, I’ve enjoyed working in local communities as a Registered Dietitian and moving into many homes. I’m always optimistic about a house, knowing it can be improved as it is lived in and loved by a family. In the same way, I enjoyed helping people improve their lives through making healthy lifestyle choices for themselves and their families. For the past several years, I’ve translated that enthusiasm into renovating homes around Southern Maryland for sale. Stepping into a career in real estate blends my love of creating beautiful homes and helping people, layered with years of construction and renovation experience.
I love meeting new people, getting to know them and exploring what their needs are and how I can help. My goal is to turn clients into friends and treat friends like family.
